What is Rovi?
Rovi is our roaming robot photo booth. Instead of guests coming to a booth, Rovi comes to them, rolling around your event, framing shots, and capturing photos and video from angles a normal booth just can’t reach.
How's Rovi different from a regular photo booth?
A regular booth is a box guests step into. Rovi moves through the crowd on its own, shoots on a proper camera (not a phone or webcam), and layers in AI effects, instant prints, and digital sharing on top. Think of it as the difference between a photo station and an actual guest at your party.
How it works on the night
How does Rovi actually work at an event?
Rovi comes to guests, pick a template on the touchscreen, strike a pose, and Rovi captures it. Prints come out on the spot, and guests can also get their shots sent straight to their phone.
How long until guests get their photo?
Usually under a minute. From pose to print (or to their phone), you’re looking at somewhere between 20 and 60 seconds.
How many people can pile in for one shot?
Depends on the space, but Rovi’s roaming setup handles groups of 6 to 10 comfortably.
Do we need someone running Rovi all night, or does it work solo?
Rovi needs someone there all night, it’s not a walk-away unit. The role is more “host and troubleshooter” than active driving.

How much room does Rovi need?
Give Rovi around 2mx2m to move freely and frame shots properly. Tighter venues can sometimes work, so flag your space with us and we’ll talk it through.
How long does setup take?
Usually 30 to 45 minutes to get Rovi in place and ready to roll, and that time’s built into your booking, not billed separately.
Where can Rovi go, floor-wise?
Flat, hard, level surfaces work best, think indoor floors or smooth pavement outdoors. Grass, cobblestones, gravel, or anything uneven isn’t going to work well for Rovi.

Yes. We can put your branding on the display touchscreen, add logo overlays to every photo, and even match the lighting to your colours. You can put stickers on side skirts and back of Rovi.
Can we customise the templates?
Definitely. Branded print templates, custom overlays, we can build all of it around your event. Rovi’s AI effects can also restyle shots to match a specific look or theme.

Yes, that’s one of the things that sets Rovi apart from a standard booth. It can capture emails and run quick survey questions right in the interaction, so it doubles as an activation tool, not just a photo op.

Yes. Rovi has sensors built in to detect people and objects and will stop or steer around them.

Very. Failure rates are low (we’re talking around 2% or under), and we always bring backup gear and support just in case.

Core functions like taking and printing photos work fine offline. Anything more advanced, like AI effects, live sharing, or a cloud gallery, needs an internet connection.

Standard 4×6 inch glossy photo prints, on the spot. Other options are 2×6 inch strips or 3×4 inch.
What camera is Rovi shooting on?
A proper DSLR or mirrorless camera, not a phone lens, so you’re getting genuinely high-res, print-quality shots.
