It all started with a DIY photo booth for our daughter’s 18th birthday. What began as a fun gift for family and friends soon became the life of every event we brought it to, and before long, people were asking to hire it for their own.
That request turned into an accidental side hustle, and the side hustle turned into a genuine passion. We saw a gap in the market, but more than that, we saw what a photo booth actually does at an event: it brings people together, gets them laughing, and gives them something to remember. That feeling is what kept us going.
Once we knew this was something worth doing properly, we moved on from the DIY setup and invested in a professional photo booth from a manufacturer that actually knows the industry. We didn’t stop there either, we tested software after software, comparing what each one offered, until we landed on what genuinely gave our clients the best experience. That process of testing and refining is something we’ve never really stopped doing.
Ten years and over 2,000 events later, it still doesn’t feel like a decade, because we’ve loved every bit of it. Along the way we’ve had the chance to work alongside some big brand activations, right through to intimate backyard weddings, and everything in between. We’ve set up in venues we never imagined we’d see, some tucked away in corners of the country most people never find. We’ve listened to countless love stories from the couples we’ve worked with. We’ve made friends along the way, with couples, clients, fellow vendors, and photo booth operators overseas we’ve met while chasing the latest innovations in the industry.
It’s been a hell of a journey, and one we’re genuinely thankful for. Oz Photo Booths is a family business, but it’s really been shaped by the friends and community around us, and that’s what will carry us forward.

Oz Photo Booths didn’t begin as a business plan. It started as a DIY project for a family birthday. The only reason it became a business is that people kept asking, “Can you do this for our party too?”
That matters. Everything we’ve built since has come from actually being at the party, not from studying it as a market. Ten years and 2,000+ events later, that “guest-first” instinct still drives how we work.
We’re not just a booth
Most companies offer a booth and a backdrop. We’ve built a whole lineup: classic photo booths, our Rovi robot, and the G-Bot slow‑motion experience. That means every event gets something that actually fits its vibe, not a one‑size‑fits‑all setup.

Part of staying good at this is refusing to get comfortable. We travel to see what’s new in the photo booth world overseas, test new tech before it hits the mainstream, and keep refining how we deliver galleries, reports, and follow‑ups. So the experience doesn’t stop when the event ends.

At the core, Oz Photo Booths is still family‑run. But after a decade, it’s grown into something bigger: a network of couples, clients, fellow vendors, and photo booth operators around the world who’ve shaped how we think and what we offer.
